Kenilworth Park by Ryan W. Kennihan Architects is an exemplary renovation and expansion of a typical Victorian semi-detached house of the 19th century in Dublin, Ireland. While the building was previously only used in its initial state, the transformation of 2019 provided additional living space.
This project contributes to the social-ecological transformation by integrating sustainable design principles with historical preservation. Through the strategic use of materials such as reclaimed brick and timber beams, it reduces environmental impact while maintaining the integrity of the original Victorian architecture. The extension allowed the private owners to make use of the plot’s surface area and to expand the available living space.
