Gasometers of Vienna by Jean Nouvel, Coop Himmelb(l)au, Manfred Wehdorn, Wilhelm Holzbauer is a fundamental redevelopment project of Industrial Gasholders (1896) in Vienna, Austria. While the four tanks were previously only used for the gas supply of the city, the transformation (2001) provides a combined use of offices and apartments, creating a usable surface area of 35,000 m².

This project contributes to the social-ecological transformation by repurposing these protected landmarks on an industrial site and by providing an offer of unusual spaces that can host diverse cultural activities. Places for such are offered, for example, in the event hall, the skylobby, as well as several communal areas. The integration of office and residential spaces promotes a mix of lifestyles, pioneering a novel approach at that time.
