Renovation of the Vrlovčnik homestead by Medprostor is a subtle renovation project of remote old farmhouses in Matkov kot, Slovenia. While the buildings were previously only used for agricultural production, the transformation of 2017 provided refined living complex with separated functions in each building object.
This project contributes to the social-ecological transformation by contributing to the overall appeal of the site with the preservation of the region through respecting its identity. Inviting local contractors and reviving forgotten techniques whilst using local materials gives an added value to the renovation and addresses the social aspect of building regionally.
