svobodova blaha

03 apartment building by Svobodová Blaha is a complete renovation project of an apartment building from the first half of the 20th century in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. While the building always served for housing, the intervention of 2019 transformed the two-bedroom flat into a large studio. The removal of the existing dividing structures led to better lighting and ventilation, without altering the surface area.
This project contributes significantly to social-ecological transformation by revitalizing existing urban space, promoting sustainable living through efficient use of resources, and enhancing community well-being. Its renovation approach aligns with ecological principles while fostering a sense of belonging and environmental consciousness within the community.
