Skälsö Arkitekter

Byggnad 8 by Skälsö Arkitekter is a small scale renovation project of a former military bunker in Bungenäs, Sweden. While the structure was previously only used as a military mechanical workshop, the conversion of project date provided a summer house for a family.
This project contributes to the social-ecological transformation by bringing leisure housing into abandoned military infrastructure, maximizing the potential and conditions of the site while minimizing environmental impact and usage of resources by intervening as little as possible.
