Skene Catling de la Peña with Factum Foundation

AaltoSilo by Skene Catling de la Peña and Factum Foundation is the ongoing transformation of an industrial building designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto in Finland, Oulu. While it was a vacant former woodchip silo, the ongoing transformation provides a new cultural space, making the silo accessible from the inside.

This project contributes to the social-ecological transformation by preserving industrial heritage and embedding a cultural venue withing the local neighborhood.
